Prior to returning to school, I spent most of my adult working life in collegiate athletics, helping to help make college students not only better volleyball players, but also — and more importantly — better students and people. In refocusing on a career as a historian, I remain committed to making a substantial and positive impact in the lives of the people with whom I work.
